DHC-6 Twin Otter Mission Pack

This is an additional review I previously did for the AeroSoft DHC-6 Twin Otter.
This particular review is on the mission pack offered by AeroSoft. So it will be a rather short review and not to the extent of the aircraft review.

The DHC-6 Twin Otter is a very versatile aircraft and has MANY uses!! This mission pack
has 2 “beginner”, 5 “intermediate” , and 1 “advanced” missions.

Once again AeroSoft has done a spectacular job!! The beginner missions truly are quite easy for are an experienced “bush flyer”. The first one is on floats, and the second one is conventional.

From here the missions start to get more and more difficult with varying weather and configurations. One of the rather fun things is that you have a co-pilot that sets up the A/C, the comm and nav equipment, gives you a run down of the status of the A/C, and makes the ATC calls... and helps you when things “occur”.

The advanced mission is certainly that, even for an experienced pilot.

Now, this really doesn't sound to bad or challenging on the surface... BUT, they did throw in a few surprises to add a bit of spice. One option that is pretty neat that I had not used before was the rewards entered into your log book when the mission has been satisfactorily completed. BUT... I assure you, once you start into the intermediate missions, you will definitely need to have your head about you, situational awareness (SA), and paying attention!!!

For one thing, you may find an engine failing, and need to land to fix it, or you may find you have a bit of a fuel leak... you will definitely NOT want to be way out in the back country before you notice something like this. There other surprises as well, but I will let you find these out for yourself.

This Mission Pack puts this aircraft to good use, and it will certainly test your flying skills in the hostile Alaskan landscape!!!

This mission pack installs 5 more Twin Otters, 2 wheeled, 1 wheel/ski, and 2 on floats.

I am VERY happy with this addition to the A/C!!!

The ONLY draw back I feel there is, is on the mission briefings. I feel they need to be just a bit more detailed. Now, it is quite possible I missed something, as I was not able to get as in depth to the briefings as I would have liked prior to writing this review, due to time constraints. If I missed something I apologize, and PLEASE feel free to let me know, feedback is certainly ALWAYS welcome!!!

Gameplay: 9 VERY well done. Various configurations, good variance of difficulties, and a few surprises thrown in with weather and failures, or potential failures (which WILL become failures if not tended too)
